Terms of Service

FjordPing ([legal entity name and org. number to be filled in]) rents game servers to individual customers, with Norway as its primary market. These terms apply to all purchases and use of the service at fjordping.no.

You can order a fixed server for a specific game ("Fixed server") or a flexible resource pool where you switch games yourself ("Flex"). Once payment is confirmed, your server is set up automatically, normally within a short time.

Servers run on infrastructure from one or more providers (cloud providers and/or our own hardware). Which provider a given server runs on is controlled by us and may change over time without affecting the price you pay.

Payment is made via Vipps or card, as a one-time charge for the period you choose (day, month, quarter, or year). This only charges you for the selected period - there is no automatic charge for the next period today. If you want to continue after the period ends, you place a new order from your account.

The price shown at checkout is what you pay for the selected period - we do not change the price of an already-paid period afterwards.

Since each period is paid for individually and does not renew automatically, "cancelling" in practice means simply not placing a new order. You can also mark a subscription as ended from your account's billing page, so we know you don't plan to continue. We do not automatically refund the remaining time in a period that has already been paid for once the server has been provisioned - see our refund and withdrawal page for details.

You are responsible for the content and activity on your server. Servers must not be used for illegal content, to attack other systems, for cryptocurrency mining beyond what the game itself requires, or for activity that unreasonably burdens shared infrastructure used by other customers.

We may suspend or terminate a server without refund if it is used in violation of this section, after first attempting to notify you where practically possible.

We do our best to keep your servers available, but at this stage of the service we do not offer a guaranteed uptime SLA. We are not liable for indirect losses (such as lost play time or lost in-game items) resulting from downtime, except where mandatory Norwegian law provides otherwise.

You are responsible for keeping your own backups of important server data, even though we offer automatic backups on some plans.

We may update these terms from time to time. For material changes, we will notify you by email or in the product before the change takes effect.
