Privacy Policy

FjordPing ([legal entity name, org. number, and address to be filled in]) is the data controller for personal data collected through fjordping.no. Questions about privacy can be directed to [contact email to be filled in].

We process: account information (email, chosen display name), order and subscription history (which plans and periods you have paid for), and technical information related to your servers (the IP address and port of your game server, resource usage).

We never store your card details or Vipps account information ourselves - this is handled directly by our payment provider (Stripe and/or Vipps), and we only receive confirmation that payment was completed.

We process this data to deliver the service you ordered (performance of a contract), for invoicing and bookkeeping (legal obligation), and to respond to customer support requests (legitimate interest).

We use sub-processors to deliver the service: Supabase (authentication and database), Vipps and/or Stripe (payment), and the operator(s) that actually run your game server (a cloud provider and/or our own hardware connected via a Pterodactyl panel). These only receive the data necessary to perform their part of the service.

We never sell your personal data to third parties for marketing purposes.

We keep account data for as long as you have an active account with us. Data we are legally required to retain (such as accounting records) is kept for the period required by law, even after your account is closed.

You have the right to access, correct, and delete your personal data, as well as the right to data portability, to the extent provided by applicable data protection law (GDPR). You may also lodge a complaint with the Norwegian Data Protection Authority (Datatilsynet) if you believe we are processing your data unlawfully.

We only use what is strictly necessary to keep you signed in (an authentication cookie/token) and to remember your language preference. We do not use any third-party tracking or advertising cookies.
